Crush

On Monday Ghana played Brazil in a friendly game at Craven Cottage, the home ground of Fulham, in London. Accounts of those present reports that the game could have ended in a catastrophe. Chaotic ticket allocation and the rumors that tickets were still available on the door, led to a dangerous crush at the gates. But read for yourself:

These accounts describe scenes long thought to be absent from football. However, it happened. More worrying, it happened in London a year before the Olympics. It is worrying that it happened in the first place but more worrying is the response Fulham FC issued to many who went to see the friendly game between Ghana and Brazil.
