This photograph is problematic. As is the description underneath.

It says that Sir Alex Ferguson has won his first Premier League title with Manchester United in the 1992/93 season. It seems to ignore the fact that Ferguson had already been at Manchester United since autumn 1986 and moreover, that football only began in 1992 with the introduction of the Premier League.

It is true that Man United have won the inaugural Premier League title and indeed the first league title in the Ferguson era in 1993, yet he has been in charge of United since the mid-1980s. It suggests or may be misread that the football league in England that is called Premier League, has only begun in 1992 and that before that, there was nothing.

For the other managers in this list, the claim is correct: they have won the league title in their first full season in charge of any Premier League club.
